Turn The Tide is actively working towards supporting 400 children over the next few years. Why 400? That's the number of orphaned kids in the village where Turn The Tide started. I want to see them all fed, clothed and educated.
After that village, we trust God to show us the next village.
And the next country. And then the next.

Currently Turn The Tide supports 11 child-headed-households. That's 50 people!

Every cent goes to the child-headed households. If you'd like to help, this is what it takes:

Supporting one child with food, schooling and basic expenses:
- £14 or $US 23 a month OR
- £168 or $US 272 a year

Provide one child with school fees, uniforms and supplies:
- £36 or $US 58 a year

Food security for one person for one year:

£98 or $US 158

Widows: 
The cost of supporting a widow is less as (obviously) they don't go to school!
- £11 or $18 per month OR
- £132 or $US 216 a year

What? No admin fees?

Nothing is paid to the Pastor or the volunteers with whom Turn The Tide  works. Any costs incurred by them (banking, phone calls etc) are covered, however they work as volunteers in their own community.

Founder, Michelle Timms is not employed by Turn the Tide and support herself as a Project Coordinator for a Kings Church outreach serving underprivileged children in South Africa.

ALL funds raised go through Kings Church International in the UK.

Once I become involved, what can I expect?

You will be added to the mailing list and receive newsletters by email or snail-mail. Given the enormous costs of postage, we would prefer it if you would sign up for email newsletters and subscribe to this Blog, however we completely understand that not everyone has access to a computer easily. We do not send out photos of the families you may sponsor. When it can cost just £14 or $23 per month to provide everything a child in Malawi needs to live, it kind of hurts our heart to spend more than that on postage.

Every cent counts.
